MULTIZONE OTR REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  • CUSTOMER:
  • It is the policy of OMNI Engineering Services Inc. not to disclose customer names and/or proprietary details of projects without the client’s release to do so.

  • PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:
  • Design a system that has both CAN and three rs232 communications ports. This control will also control 3 different temperature zones in a single container unit. Discharge temperature needed to be controlled at .1°C.

  • DESIGN APPROACH:
  • This project was based off a thirty-two bit Motorola 68376 microcontroller to be able to support all of it's communication needs. All of the code was written in the "C" programming language with some modules written in assemble language. An RTOS was implemented in this design to aid in completely changing the configuration of this controller on the fly.

  • PROJECT RESULTS:
  • The product was very well received in the field. It became the the basic unit that the customer is going to switch all of their other applications to.
