  • PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

    Design an embedded control system responsible for all motion control, and overall system diagnostics of an off road vehicle.

  • DESIGN APPROACH:
    		•
    A Sixteen bit CMOS microcontroller was selected to be the heart of this embedded system. The project's software was developed using the "C" language. Along with the microcontroller and it's hardware, a CAN communications network was implemented to communicate between the controllers of the system. Extreme environments and system integrity were paramount to the design.

  • PROJECT RESULTS:
    		•
    The product was very well received in the field. It provided the customer with increased system capabilities. Field service and system installation were enhanced via the extensive self-diagnostic capabilities.
