Provide a control system that will unload resin from a delivery vehicle, measure and report the quantity delivered and distribute to available bulk holding tanks. The material is then pumped as needed to a continuous manufacturing process.

The project was functionally divided into two distinct systems, one providing material unloading and bulk distribution, and the second responsible for material distribution into the manufacturing process. Existing pumping and storage equipment was integrated with new control and monitoring hardware. The operators use touch screen interfaces to interact with the control system and view historical data. OMNI chose ultrasonic level transducers for measurement to avoid contact with the material.

The system provides an economical method to verify and distribute bulk resin. By combining complex sequences with a programmable controller the risk of inadvertent transfer or distribution was eliminated.
