    It is the policy of OMNI Engineering Services Inc. not to disclose customer names and/or proprietary details of projects without the client’s release to do so.

  • PROJECT REQUIREMENTS:

    Alteration of the BIOS of an 8088 based PC to allow for inclusion of HPIB device drivers.

  • DESIGN APPROACH:
    		•
    Write HPIB device drivers in 8088 assembly language. Add those drivers to the BIOS firmware and replace the BIOS into the computer.

  • PROJECT RESULTS:
    		•
    Completion of the project allowed supervisory software to make BIOS call directly to HPIB instrumentation. With this feature added to the computer BIOS, efficiency in development of test fixtures and procedures using HPIB were greatly improved.
